was sitting on my deck the other afternoon, and a roll back tow truck stopped across the road, driver was I think texting (at least he stopped driving) and on the back was an old Ac tractor. well part of one! the truck wasn't local, so I walked out to my fence and hollered at him! he waved...and then he drove on into my driveway! asked him if that thing was for sale? he said he delivered a car up north, and they didn't have enough to pay him for the trip, so he took that thing as part payment. figgered he'd haul it to the scrapper to get some of his money back! asked him how much? well...I own it now! he unloaded it out back and left...happy! I have no idea what it is, there's no tin work on it. where do I find anything that might describe it? only thing there is the engine, drivetrain, and frame. tires are all shot! should be good nuff for parts for someone!

Can you find a serial number on it? Or draw a picture.  I'll bet Joe would come over and take a pic for you as long as you have some black label for him.

went out and I think I found the serial number: WD132901 . has no seat, NF, tires and wheels are junk, has power adj wheels, steering wheel is straight but the rubber is cracked no missing chunks, motor has good paint on it, but i'm sure it's prolly stuck...didn't try to turn it, pulled the dip stick and it's rusty. fan spins freely, no radiator, a not to bad battery box, just 2 rust holes at the top on the long side. has power steering. looks like someone took the top off the tranny and didn't put the gear shift back in, so i'm sure the tranny has water in it! it's a parts unit! and appears there are lots of good parts on it yet!

That makes it a 1953 wd the last year of production so it should be a good one. They would have had all the bugs worked out of them by the time that one was made. I think you better start collecting parts to rebuild it...

If you got it for a few hundred bucks and the power steering is any good (Char-Lynn or factory), you probably doubled your money already.   Mike
