Gear Headquarters in Kansas City, Kansas can make you what you want.....John Lewman at 913-831-1700....I thought one could just buy a length of splined shafting ready to go, but I guess not. You'll want it made of 4140 or 8620 steel. I'm a little concerned that your choice in gears might not be strong enough for the torque you're going to run thru them.?? Gears from SCS or Pro-Fab I know are strong enough.

I'd ask SCS or ProFab first if they'd sell you some shafting. If not, call Gear Headquarters. Winters gears are for stock car rear axles and I don't believe are what you want.

I say that because the OEM is a 20% speed-up from direct to over-drive. For example 15.5 MPH to 19.3 MPH is 19.7%, so lets call it 20% even. I'd think you'd want to be half-way between there with a 10% increase and that's why I feel .9 to 1 over-drive would give you what you want.

I figure 25 to 1 and that had me at .899 when you do old math that I didn't do I should have rounded up at .9. I'm hoping to be able to change gear sets thru pd valve hole.

How are you going to split shaft to get top gear off shaft?
Let me sell you one of my gear boxes and you just have to split it at front of trans. to change Ro. MACK
