I don't know what flat rate is, but if bearing has not come apart it can be done without splitting or removing platform.     MACK

Doesn't the bull gear have to be removed? The bearing goes in from the inside of the cavity doesn't it?

i had a dealer replace the bearing , i thought it was the outside one, but yes it was the one on the inside. the bull gear must come out,  so   33 hours of labor later.   so i was wondering should it really take 33 hours, that is almost a full week of labor?  was wondering what allis said how long it should take ?

As someone who is currently stripping down the back end of a 190 to restore, I can say there is a lot of time involved to get access to the rear axle (especially the right one). Fuel tank, operator's station, hydraulic linkages, fenders, console all need to be removed, then get reinstalled.  33 Hours seems pretty accurate for the whole job.

Don't know total time but I do know 4-5 hours gets you to here.  This was 3 guys, but only 1 knew what to do.

I have got to back up on what I said. I replaced the outer bearing by pushing axle out then lifted inner axle through drain hole to aline with inner bearing.
Not my first mistake and won't be my last.
Yes 33 hrs is way too much time. Have split one in 1 hour if every thing goes good, but has took longer when things went south.   MACK

That sounds pretty fair. I was thinking a couple 8 hr days. Of course, you have to have the proper equipment, which includes the correct pusher bolts to remove the rear wheel from the axle !!! if you don't have that tooling, you are at a disadvantage right off the bat. I have never seen a failed axle bearing on any 190 tractor, so it is indeed a rare thing.

Dad's 1965 190XT gasser failed an inside bearing. When the mechanic took it apart he said the out race was cracked. A couple months earlier I remember hitting a large hole with that tractor so hard I bounced and hit my head on the cab roof and hurt my neck. I was of course driving way to fast moving round bales. This was when I was a teenager. I always kinda figured that contributed to that particular axle bearing failure.
