Had the opportunity to attend the Dealer/Customer meeting on the new Gleaner S9 combines in Ft. Wayne, Indiana 12/2/15. Finally got to meet Kevin Bein in person. If you were lucky, you could have gotten him to autograph the complementary poster that all attendee's received.

Lot of comments on other forums that the feeder house looks to small. Whats the scoop?

My memory of it was they lengthened the lower feeder house 5" and deepened the upper and lower feeder house by 1/2". This is to lessen the chances of plugging down to 0%. This also helped keep rocks in the trap. Kevin told us they ran the S78 and S88 in canola, or I think it was, hard until it plugged. Figured out why and made some changes. Welcome the S96, S97, and S98. Kevin wanted to be able to run wide open in green stem soybeans.
