I took my 1949 Allis Chalmers C to the local pulls today pulled 2500 pound + 3000 pound class normally do well in the 3000 pound class I come in second or third always in the top 5 at least today seems like I had governor issues I'm hoping you guys can help me out if I would open the throttle three quarters of the way slowly let the clutch out and as I get rolling the governor would start surging is that a governor issue or do I need to work on my technique? I hate riding the clutch but it seems like the more I ride the clutch the last Governor surging issues I have

Your not all that far away. Come down to the green tractor dealer just west of Frederick Md. (on Rt 340) Sunday and I'll do the adjusting that you need and get you gong. Pulling will start about 9AM We need more light tractors around.

Amen on needing bigger classes of light tractors almost everywhere. I hate getting a first place because I was the only 3000 tractor at the pull.
