Are the hydraulics on a D17 series three the same as on the WD45? Also, is it actually 63 hp or is it less, just going by tractordata. What is a good price for a fair condition useable D17 series 3 or 4?

It is actually rated at 54 PTO hp.  I don't know where 63 came from.  However my Series IV gas dynoed at 59 a few years back.  As for the prices, Series IVs are considerably more expensive because of the factory 3ph and live hydraulics.

Yes, the hydralics on a d17 III are the same low volume, high pressure as a WD45 or D17 series I and IIs.

Prices really vary on condition, proximity, and how bad the seller wants to sell it and how bad the buyer wants it. Around my area for decent condition, near by, and no strong emotions -- a III might bring $3000 - $3500, and for a IV add $1500 - $2000.
