We, as usual, are having a slow start to spring with all our neighbors having planted a lot of corn and some beans we still haven't put the planter together. But with the heavy rains last week and even heavier rain this weekend with flash floods expected I'm kinda glad our seed is still in the bag. With the front stalling on top of us they said we could get 4-7 inches of rain through the weekend.

I got 1.1" of rain in Paris, Il. last night. About everything is planted around here. The first time I can remember everything planted before the first of May.

I just walked out and dumped my rain guage and it was over flowing at 6".  I think so far it's about 10" actual.  Never seen this much rain in such a short time here.  Saw about a half dozen cars floating in the street this morning.  I told my wife to not drive through water as she headed out but did say I would bring a rope and the truck if needed.  I think she got the hint.  LOL

The snow was here just north of me at the begining of the week. This weekend will be in the 80's. We got all our rain in March at about 19" for the month.
