    Posted: 21 Jun 2015 at 8:03pm
Yesterday while pushing some dirt and gravel, my 410 shuttle would stop moving when it got a load on the blade. Not a large load, what I would call a fair load. Any suggestions as to adjustments? What to start? What to check? Thanks!!

Isn't a 'Shuttle' belt drive with a geared transmission?

So a stop in motion would mean a belt is slipping ?

Or do you mean 'Hydrostatic' drive ?

That's the belt drive. Its 4 speed with F/R shuttle. I didn't have the usual symptoms. Smell of hot belts or squealing. Probably just need to check my tension. Huh?

Belt tension and belts could be wore out! We have put heavier spring on for heavy loads as pulling. If it slips in first it needs some work.

Sure sounds like belt slipping, I have found a new set of belts will cure that, just be aware that they can be grabby untill they have some wear on them.

I checked the belts. They look ok, just a little loose. Gonna replace spring with a heavier spring, as per farmtoybuilder, and go from there.
