I'm rebuilding my 301 in my 190xt and was wondering how many horse I can get out of it with stock pump and turbo. I'm going to be pulling it some but mostly using it for light work. The tractor had been sitting for years when I got it so I've rebuilt the pump and I'm doing a inframe now with a kit from Tony's and new turbo.

our One-Ninety XT Series III has probably been at about 110 horse stock most of its life. Grandpa said when he had his dealership, most if not all One-Ninety's were at least 105 stock. Of course he did turn a One-Eighty into a 300 horse pulling tractor with the addition of a turbo and a little machining inside the injector pump. it was called Yukon Harry and His Flying Dogsled if I remember right!

Well with the stock pump on our 185 with the fuel screw in all the way, a set of 7080 injectors and a Holset hx35 off a cummins. I did 145-150 Hp at rated PTO RPMs.
We also still use this tractor alot on the silage blower and various other chores. I've did alittle more to it now but havent dynoed it, but i can tell ya its got afew more horses now than it did before. Edited by peterson - 14 Feb 2015 at 6:57am |
