I'm trying to locate a crankshaft for a G with the continental N62 engine. Does anyone have one they would sell or know of anyone that has one available? The one I have is beyond repair. Thanks

Seems just a few years back , you could buy a new crank. I can't find one doing a google search though. The right shop should be able to weld up , straighten and grind a crank as a last resort.

Could try an add in the classified section of this site.
Could try calling Montes Equipment 312-225-2660 they are N62 parts experts.
Could watch ebay if your not in a hurry, I see them sometimes on there.
Could buy a new one from one of the sponsors.

I have an extra crank it's alittle heavier and has a centre balance weight but came out of an N62, I'd part with it if you want it.

Thanks for the replies. Tony C is the one that recommended posting here to find one. We've already contacted him and he doesn't have any available. Would the N62 engine from a forklift be the same?

N62 were used in MH Pony and G and likely several other applications. I think all the parts but the blocks interchange. The Pony and the G starters are in different locations and mounted on the block so those blocks don't interchange. It would take looking at a complete Continental N62 parts book to be sure. There might be one at www.henselfamilyfarms.com/links/ in the large collection of G manuals. My N62 manual from Continental doesn't mention the known variations.
