I am rebuilding a 1500 Min-Til.  It is a 11 shank but the extention shanks and holders are busted up.  Will use the 7080 in medium to heavy soil.  Land is not WI hilly.  Would I be happier at 9 shanks?  Or will I have enough gusto to take the 11 and run?  Looking at a 7580 so did not want to cut it down too much.   Thanks....Dale

At one time while still doing tillage here I pulled an IH 6000 disc chisel with a 7060,  10 shanks were  "enough".

I pull 2 kewanee 11 shank with 3.5" twisted shovels with my 7040, 7060, and 7080, at about 10 or 12" deep.
