I'm pretty new to A-C garden tractors. Purchased a model 611 this year. I went to remove the battery for winter so it doesn't freeze and break. Disconnected the cables and it doesn't come out. There is a black metal piece on top with to long bolts. Do I have to remove those as well or just loosen them? Sorry, for the silly question, I just thought once I disconnected the terminals it would just lift out. Thanks.

Take the 2 bolts out and remove the angle iron. With the cables unhooked it should lift out.

Hi Gary: Thanks for confirming the long bolts and angle iron have to be removed in order to take out the battery. Don't have much experience with this model yet and don't have an owners manual. Much appreciated!

It's just a model 611. What was the change(s) with the "H" and what did the letter stand for? Thanks.
