Glad that it is not worse than it is. Seems like we never know when an injury will happen. My 25 yr. old daughter tore her achilles tendon Sun. playing flag football . She's been involved in sports her whole life including 4 yrs. of college basketball , without a serious injury. Guess if we do anything long enough , our time always seems to come. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers, Tom

I was just complaining about sweep augers Monday. Miserable little machines! I do hope your son heals quickly with no lasting effects.

Thank God that it wasn't worse than it was. To many accidents on farms but then to many accidents just riding snowmobliless or playing sports or driving a car even.

Keep us posted on how his recovery is going.

Prayers are being said for him.

I hope all goes well.  Keep a close eye on him and watch for infection.  If doctor orders him to stay inside and not move around, hold him to it!!!  When we are/were young we think we're invincible but there are some nasty bugs just waiting for a wound like that.

Co-op board president was just showing us his scar this afternoon.  Same thing, got hit in back of leg by bin sweep last fall just before harvest.  Had a couple surgeries in Rochester, MN and had to keep bandaged until just recently.  Part of the reason he still has 400 acres of corn still standing in the field.
