I have a tiller for my 917 H. I measured it, and it's 36". And it does not have skid shoes on it, I bought it new, and nothing has been remover from it.
I took some pictures of it, I also have the manual for it.
If you want to see the pictures, and/or have a scanned copy of the manual, PM me your e-mail address.

Dusty

I see your e-mail address.
Just let me know if you want the pictures and manual.

There is an additional cover I never mounted to use...it was in the way for mounting and dismounting the belt.  It bridges that gap between the tiller and tractor.  I'll see if I can get a pic from someone else.  These are a very popular tiller...it's just tough to pry one from an owner's hands  =]  I sold mine to a buddy when I found a 50" 540rpm tiller for my larger tractor.

yes,the guard I need to see is missing like u said, and the skids and adjustable bracket is what I needed to see, wonder how I could get dimensions for those items...I also wonder why the po would ever take them off,it leaves terrible ridges without them,i like my 36 tiller better so far,and what a pain in the a@# to mount
