I'm looking for the decals that go on the side of the boom for the I-40.I also need the lengths for the indicator tube and rod that show the tilt on the bucket. Thanks in advance.

I had to go look at my I-40, I have the clamp but no tubes. I would think that you could measure the distance with bucket level and make your own tubes. I haven't seen the decals but would like a set also. These are pretty handy little tractors.

If Lyle doesn't make it, I would take it to one of those Signs by Tomorrow type stores, show them what you want, most all of them have computerized vinyl cutters, you just have to figure out a font, size, and design. I'm sure it'll cost more than Lyle's stuff, but custom always costs more.

Welcome to the site, Pbqc, you need to find a junked D-10/12, they are the ag tractors that the I-40/400 are based on. Exhaust manifold is very similar to a D-14, as they use the same motor. A D-14 manifold will put the muffler out about 1 to 1-1/2 inches from where the original muffler was. Rear wheel locks are common throughout D10 to d 17, I think. Good luck.

The I40 is a AC D10 Series III with heavy front axle, power steering, heavy radiator shroud, 8-bolt rear hubs instead of 6. I may have missed some items but if you are looking for other parts, also look at the D10 III, D12 III as a source.

There are sponsors of site that have the manifolds, just found my gas gauge at sandy lake ( ask for Brenda) after 7 month search, they have D10/D12 parts, I do not have rod on my I 40 bucket, but you could make one.
Hardest part to find is fenders
I am redoing my machine this summer when I get home from fishing in florida,
if you need info on part # there are I 40 owners with part list/book & I have some books

If someone can get me the dimensions of the decal and let me know what colors are on it, I can duplicate it. I own a sign shop and have a vinyl cutter and a digital printer.

The I40 and series 3 d10 are also the same. I'm about finished restoring mine.
I had to paint it orange instead of yellow. I'll post some pics.

Can you put a 3 point on an I-40 and if so can you hook up a brush hog on it. It looks like I can pull a cover plate off. I just have not done it yet I have to remove the backhoe and I'm not ready to do that yet. Thank for all the info.

It can be done, but if it does not have the pump and shaft to run it, you are looking at a major expense, for the parts, IF you can find them! |

If you still need the tube and rod length for the loader - please email me and I will go measure mine. I have an all stock I-40 with Allis loader and backhoe. Sorry it does not have the decal your looking for - but I had someone make me the front I-40 for each side of the radiator cover.

I have all 5 manuals- loader parts, backhoe parts, operators and tractor.
I will make copies and send to you if you would like- may take me a week or so to pull together.
Or I can scan and send you a PDF via the computer.
If interested send me email, also I would like to see pics of your tractor.

Jack,
I got the picture and parts list from Sandy Lake. They faxed it to me and told me to circle what I needed. They are great people to do businees with. I have rebuilt one reverser and have another tore apart right now. Let me know if there is a certain part that you need a pic of. The first one I rebuilt had a busted shift fork. I had to make one on the milling machine since they are no longer available.
