I'm going to try pulling my 190xt gas for the first time any good advice on getting some quick and easy power out of it. Its farm stock pull at 9000 lbs

Use first gear and use the pd . I use to run a 190 in the 6500 7000 and 7500 pound class.I had a 2500 gas and it always got second place in a no turbo class but I couldn't run 3-4 it was bone stock.

For your first time, I would forget about more power and concentrate more on your hitch, tire pressure and weight distribution.

Get your hitch as close to the max height (usually 20") as possible and try to set it up to get the best weight transfer possible. Try to have a rigid loop hitch and not a clevis that tips down and loses you hitch height right away.

Tire pressure is something that you will learn more about as you go along, but the harder the track (and the more weight transfer) the more air pressure you should run. Try to keep both tires inflated the same.

Give yourself some flexibility to position weights where you think you will need them. Even a 3/4" bolt with washers through the frame will work to hang a single suitcase weight.

Watch the earlier classes and pay attention to which spot in the track seems to be getting the best distance. Watch how much weight others are running on the front of the tractor (again harder tracks need more front end weight). Watch how harder tires are doing verses softer tires (you can always let air out, but you usually won't have a good compressor to inflate tires).

My first pull wasn't to bad didn't get last place anyways. Now I need to know how big of a jet I can run in the stock carb and engine to gain some more power but still be runnable without any engine mods any ideas would be helpful cause I would like to be a little more competive in the 4010 class as we call it . thanks

A fresh set of AC Delco 44XL spark plugs and fresh points and condenser and timing set to 25 degrees BTDC at full throttle is about all you can do. Adjusting the valve lash might gain you a wee little bit. Drilling out the main jet .002" from what it is right now would be all you'd want to do and then it will use more gas on the farm. The 190XT gas G-2800 engine was rated at 89 PTO HP @2200 RPM....that's about all you can expect with a fresh tune-up.

The class ur runing do they allow a turbo if so u could put one on it would help or go diesal and then blow them deers away

Thanks for the info everyone I'll give it my best shot within my limited budget. If I stick to the blacktop pulls I might have a shot cause it is speed controlled and most of them other guys are way over powered and just spin out to easily .this could turn out to be entirely way too much fun to give up.plus its something besides green to look at and I get to play with my toys even more.
