ITs insufficient  information to say plow shares for 52 plow. In AC that means the plow FRAME, but not the bottom. Bottoms were in a separate book and many bottoms customized for different soil types were available. You have to fine a part number on a bottom part (frog, share, moldboard, shin, or maybe landside though landsides were used on many bottoms) and from that the plow bottom can be identified, and then the proper share identified.

Keep in mind that the plow bottoms book lists from 6 to a dozen plow shares for a particular bottom, depending on plow width (12, 14, 16) and the ground. Some are short some are long. Some are used for a couple widths. Some have point turned down for deeper suck, some don't. Some are made of steel, some of chilled iron, some a combination. So are toughened for rocky ground, some aren't. Some have a special hard surface to wear longer, some have a soft center to handle impact better. Lots of variations, most of which won't be available today.

Sorry to hear that Balster's has closed, especially due to death.  I would give my left arm to walk through that building.  I drove past it twice, but there was never anyone around to talk to.  Will there be an auction?

Skip, its happening more often. I don't appreciate this gray on black entry screen. I may have to tell my browser to use my own colors for this forum so I can see ALL the text.

I think I have a book that lists the numbers for the G plow points. I'll post them when I get home, maybe in a couple of weeks.
