priming hydraulics?

My 180 deisel has sat outside all winter and now won't move, no power steering.  There is plenty of hydraulic fluid in it.  Is it possible the pump needs to be primed?  If so, how to do it.

Haven't been here in a year and surprised to see the old site down.  I'm sure the answer to this question would be in the archives and will try to access that now, too.

Take one of the fittings out of the top of pump and put some heavy oil in it or make a adaptor for greese zert and pump greese in it.
 Check all the fittings on suction tube for loose hose clamps. Most likely it needs a new front seal in pump.      MACK

Jack up the front wheels and take the steering hoses off the steering cylinder and put them in a bucket of hydraulic oil. Start it and turn the steering wheel until the air bubbles stop. This is how I got my 7050 to prime anyways.
