What rods do i need ...for 45 gas to stroke ..  do i need  buda 230 diesel or  262 gas or diesel..

there has been alot of discussion on these rods and H farmall rods.  do a little searching.  personally.. i went with H farmall rods for what im building.

i dont want to do crank work at this time..want to put in longer rods and 350 pistons..

If you do not AT LEAST offset grind the crank nothing that you do with the connecting rods will change the stroke. The crank throw determines the stroke not the connecting rods.

u have to offset grind your crank to use them 230 and 262 are the same rods diesels are rifle drilled is the only difference.

If you aren't doing any crank work, changing rods won't get you anywhere. Bigger pistons is about the only thing that might help other than making it breath easier thru the manifold and changing the cam degree.

Can anyone tell me what intake will fit on a WD 45 to make it breathe better. I am wanting to pull and right now the tractor does not breath that great . Thanks for any info.

without building one out of header pipe you're not going to find one, it takes a lot of work to make a stock one breathe

So you are telling me that a intake off another tractor will not fit. Some one said you could take a carb off a Farmall M and put on it so whu wont a intake from another tractor fit

There seems to be a lot of smart people with really bad/stupid "advice". The manifold from an "M" Farmall will NOT fit an Allis-Chalmers and neither will the M Farmall carburetor. Have you even looked at the intake manifold on an A-C ?? The "manifold" is a one piece casting that includes the intake and the exhaust manifold as one piece.

Ok like i said i am new to the Allis Pulling thing. I used to pull John Deere and done great with it. Not many people in my club pull Allis Chalmers so i am not able to ask them. Can you think of any other way i can boost Horse power any info would be great

You're engine isn't to big, you don't have to make power at a very high speed. With very minimal world a good manifold can be made more than adequate for the application. With a little carb work it can be made more than adequate.

Best thing you can do is port match the head and intake. I have been told you can use a leroi manifold for more flow but I'm sure others know for sure. If you need one let me know. I might have a bead on one.
