I own a AC 917 Hydro garden tractor. I recently called a few parts houses to order some parts for this tractor. I was told I needed the engine part #.  I have looked all over this tractor and I cant find any #'s anywhere. Does anyone out there have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Spuds

The engine model numbers would be on a silver tag on top of the crankcase kind of below the air cleaner. It is common for the tags to get lost or the numbers to rub off. It could also be covered with grease. If you know the engine is original to the tractor, I can look it up based on the trator's mfr# (found on the silver ID tag on the frame tunnel)

There are two versions of the KT17 used on the 917H. He will need the complete spec# to get the proper parts. If he can post the tractor mfr# I have an engine information manual that lists the spec numbers for each model.
