Acquired an old white top Allis Chalmers small round baler. Looking for information on manuals, parts and operating. As well as any info someone might be able to pass on. Been around farming equipment for most of my life, but new to actual farming. We're getting out of the city and on to 50 acres to try to keep what hair I have left!

vigness Welcome to the Allis site. There is a vast amount of knowledge here. For books I'd keep an eye on ebay, but sure someone here will be able to come up with a book for you. Good luck with the farming part and be careful this site and Allis Chalmers collecting gets addicting!

LOL... I'm kinda doing it backwards. Got the baler before the tractor... but for $100 I couldn't pass it up. Just have to find some tires and rims to get it out to the farm... but first I have to figure out WHAT tires and rims fit it... ah the life of a newbie...???

Sounds like you know what your looking at, if you knew the difference between the older ones and the white tops. I'm bumping you back to the top, somebody should come along to help you out shortly. Welcome to the most knowledgeable forum in the known world. There are folks on here that can tell you anything you need to know about anything AC ever built, and some stuff they didn't.  If your post gets down the list a ways, just open it and post a quick reply at the bottom. It will go back to the top of the list. Hope you enjoy.

If it needs tires and rims, it probably needs more than that....

Contact JimIA as an excellent resource on these machines.
