Did AC make an Oxnard blade for the smaller tractors. CA, D10, D12? Do the bigger six foot blades line up with the lift arms of the small tractors? Anyone have literature on these blades? Thanks

I have a blade that the crossbar (that seperates the lift couplers) has two sets of holes allowing for the use with the narrower series tractors. I have also altered another bar by drilling another set of holes. I believe they are 3/4" dia holes and spaced 1" closer to center on each side. Here is a pic of the blade I bought with the holes. I used this blade a lot on my CA and D12.

I believe AC made a blade for the smaller tractors but am not sure. There was one on ebay this past week that was listed as being for the smaller tractors. My snap coupler blade's lift arms will not line up with my CA lift arms. There was discussion a long time ago on the old forum about drilling a hole in the cross piece and moving the piece that goes into the latch arm over so it will work. My manual does not talk about hooking the blade up to a CA. Only about the D14 and D17 and the WD and WD45.

I have a 6' blade that I modified like the one Eldon's picture shows to fit my '51 CA pin-hitch tractor. I also had to use parts from my 2-bottom plow to attach the blade to the tractor's lift arms because the blade was set up for a snap-coupler tractor. Hooks right up now.

The 3point blade in the picture will work on cat 1 or cat 2 three point. you have to change the pins on the bottom. Where the top link mount to the blade there are 2 holes one for cat 1 the other for cat 2. When I use it on the D10 I use the cat one pin on the lower links and mount them on the inside on the blade. Cat 2 is mounted to the outside. This is what it shows in the manual.

The B pictured has a factory snap coupler setup on the back, which I think is pretty rare to find, especially if compete.

My blade has two holes where the left liftarm link attaches - I use the inner one when I mount the blade on my CA and the outer hole when I use it on the D14. Both tractors are SC. I don't know if the two holes were "factory" or if a previous owner added one of the holes.

Wil, I bought that blade, still have to go pick it up. I am not very familiar with the snap coupler set up. I always converted over to 3pt. The guy said it is a factory snap coupler blade set up for the ca, d10, d12 and has the slip over top lift mounts that are only used by these tractors. He said it will not fit on the bigger tractors. He also said he has seen and sold probably 100 snap coupler blades over the years and this is the first factory blade set up this way that he has come across. I really didn't know, but I took a chance and bought it, not really knowing what I bought. Eldon, how does your ca handle that six foot blade? this one is also 6'. Wouldn't the distance from the bell back to the lift arms have to be shorter on the blade because of the short wheel base ca, d10, d12? Any comments, info., advice, pics appreciated. Ron

The Snap Coupler B in Jim's ad is mine. It handles the SC blade real well for snow and light dirt work. I had to drill a second hole in the mounting bar like the one pictured above.

Ron the snap coupler blades were 6' with 18" extensions available. The CA handled 6' fine, but when I wanted to get a lot done I used the D17 and the 9'.
