It seems I saw pictures of this done on the old site a while back. I believe they tapped in ahead of the remotes and used some kind of priority divider(improper terminology). Somebody will remember and follow up with a reply.

I just put 1 on my 170. Mine had a rubber hose about 18" long in the pressure line coming from the pump. I removed it and put the side coming from the pump on the "in" side of the joystick and ran the "out" side back to the line going to the valve stack on the tractor. It really does not matter where you break into it so long as you put it in series since you have open center system. Just remember which ever valve is first in the series will have priority. You also need to make sure you have an open center valve. Hope this helps.

You must have an "open center" valve with "power beyond" capabilities, which has an "in" port and an "out" port and a bleed line that goes back to sump. Failure to have this type of valve can explode it when using the tractors regular hydraulic valves under pressure.

Exactly how will it explode the tractors regular valves if it is in series with it? We have done it that way for years on machines in the factory don't know of any problems. But I guess if you put it before the relief it could be a problem. Mine is before and works fine.
