Guys I have my ca hydraulic off and it has a plunger STUCK down. How do I get it unstuck? Thanks in advance. Gary

Spray with your favorite freedom juice and tap on it lightly everytime you walk by. It might take a couple taps or a couple weeks, but keep it damp with PB Blaster or Kroil or something like that and work it several times a day.

This is a question I had last summer. I had a pump with 2 plungers stuck. I soaked them with Kroel, one I put a small vicegrip on and twisted it loose. The other one I cant tell because it would not be approved of, but it worked.
Will wate and see if anyone had loosened that way.

Gary - Had same problem. I cleaned off the plunger with alchol, then I crazy glued a nut to the end. Screwed a 1/4 bolt to it and pulled it straight out. Knocked of the nut and cleaned surface of plunger. - AL

Guys I tried soaking but did not work. Pump was no good like it was,so I welded a 3/8 nut to top and buy soaking and pulling it came out. I am sure it is not an approved method but poor people have poor ways. ha!ha! have a good day. Gary

When we had trouble with a CA hyd pump plunger we used to weld a large flat washer on the plunger and pry it out. Initilly the factory recomendation was to "weld" a welding rod on the plunger and pull it out.
After we had a few of these problems we recommended to all that the PTO be left in gear at all times with the lift lever in the down position - some of the old CA's used the lift arms as part of the drawbar and raising the lift lever with the lift arms down could cause damage. Keeping the pump running corrected the problem.
Remember when one stops the pump there is usually one plunger in the down position. Leaving it there will more than likely cause it to stay there.

Leon I got some parts out of a WD pump that worked. I think WD and CA has same internal parts as plunger. Thanks for offer. Gary
