Austin. I actually saw a D-18 decal on a mechanics tool box at a AGCO dealship in '93. 
It was the same style as the D-15 series I and the D-17 (SeriesII), the tractors with the aluminium hood name plates.

Thats good to know Calvin...my dad isn't going to like that....he likes the long decal better...but I will tell him it HAS to be historically acurate.

Fellow up this way had an old D17 diesel that had been refigured into a 262 combine gasoline engine tractor. it had the governor changed to the tractor style governor. Said it had LOTS of power but was hungary on fuel. think he sold it after he got a Duetz diesel.
