im looking to purchase a set of 14.9x28's on blank steal rims to get away from the weight of the power adjust. they look to be about 70-80% with new tubes and they are also cut.. should i stay clear of cut tires with a stock wd45 for pulling.

Check yours rules because around here if you have cut tires you can't pull in the farm stock class, you will be pulling your stock WD against the big boys.

The topcuts will definatly tell you what kind of engine you have in the heavier classes. We run 38inch wheels, I know for a fact that if you topcut 38's you better have some motor. Our club allows topcuts and they do help with grip on a harder track.

How do you cut tires? I have one that's out of round, I'd like to see if I could true it up.

A power wood planer does wonders Dusty, just make sure it has sharp blades in it. I have a Bosch just for cutting tires, pretty hard to beat, especially if you have ever done it with a grinder.

I know right where you live Dusty, at the end of Doane HWY, just down the road from Dills. I'm living in Holt now, but give me a shout, I still get out to the old neighborhood quite often, and would be glad to help you out.
