Looking at a 7045 for pulling a planter and light field work to go along with my 7080 I have now. Tractor has around 7,100 hours on it and is a power director. Sheet metal is fairly straight. Has 18.4 rears that will be needing replaced sometime. Has duals but I dont know the condition. Just from looking at it, it will be needing a cab kit and maybe the brake valve resealed in the cab. I can get it bought for about 4,000 and was wondering if I should jump on it or not with the hours it has on it. I'm looking at upgrading to a 12/23 planter and I'm going to need a few more ponies to pull it. I really wanted a powershift but people seem to think they are made of gold.

Doesn't sound too bad. Around here they would want 8000. for something like that.

Better grab it.  Most ask 10-12 for a good one around here.  Heck North Star has a 7020 they are asking 16,500 for.  Few 7020s on craigslist if that is big enough.

That's cheap power.  It's like money in the bank.  I spent many hours in dad's 7045 PS.  It was better than sliced bread.

Well I got it bought. I'm going to have to start a new thread with pics. I'm the second owner of it and my great grandpa sold it new!

One thing about the 7-8000 series is they are worth spending some money on cause you have a good base to start with.
