My clutch just started slipping. I opened the inspection cap at bottom of tractor and thought I found a rats nest. Could this have been clutch debrie? I cleaned it out, and everything was dry. I thought the person i bought it from may have been hiding a leak. I was trying to adjust the clutch, but service book I have is not clear. Please explain how to adjust clutch and is it too late if it has started slipping?
Thanks, ![]() |

If there is free travel in clutch pedal might as well split it. MACK

when you press the clutch pedal how far does it move before you feel resistance from the pressure plate springs?

Just got a price of $275.00 from local parts store for clutch, pressure plate, & throw out bearing. All this to just pickup, no shipping. Have not checked online, but shipping would be high I suspect. Is that competitive? With getting my flywheel turned, should this get me going?

When you look up thru the inspection hole in bottom of torque tube, how far are fingers from throwout bearing with clutch pedal retracted? Tracy Martin

Is it better with sealed or greasable bearings?

I like the greasable bearing. About 35 dollars from Motion Industries. One without it is about 20 dollars if I remember correctly. HTH Tracy Martin
