Cal yeah there pretty good ol tractors the only thing I dont like about them is that there tough shifting when cold. Ours is mostly for tillage work we just pull a 36ft john deere field cultivator and the disk ripper our 8070 does the discing and pulls the finishing tool

We like it a lot! The 8550 handles it pretty good but you can tell you have something behind you lol and are main soil type is Darmstadt its a silt loam.

How many hp is your 8550 putting out? Brother bought a 9 shank earthmaster but only has a Versatile 875 so far (280hp). We can take 2 shanks off and make it 7 pretty easy, just wondering about if it's still enough.

I'm guessing factory hp which that would be 300hp. From are experience with it I'd say a 7 shank is just right for it.
