Does anyone else have issues with the hood shaking on a 170? I looked for any loose bolts but i found none. I did see that there are rubber bushing that hold it all together. They don't looked cracked or broke. Im just stumped on this one. Any suggestions??

A good friend of mine bought a new 175 back in their day and the hood on it shook all the time. I had a 185 and the hood did not shake at all. His 175 had the perkins diesel and the dealer he bought it from said that was the nature of that engine. What few times I drove it, it  was annoying to say the least.

Thanks for the help. Mine has the perkins in it so i guess i better get used to it. And yes it is extremely annoying. Im thinking of taking out the rubber block and putting in some harder poly blocks in to see if it helps.

I've got one out of 4 that shake, but that one has those long bar short bar tires on it that I hate. Sitting still or going down the road in high gear it doesn't shake.

Either mine don't shake or I'm so used to it that I don't notice?  LOL

My 175 started shaking a few years ago.  The rubber mountings are just below the battery pan (see below).  I think they get weak over time, especially with diesel constantly getting spilled on them.  I got new ones from AGCO (still available), but I have not put them on yet.  It probably will not hurt things!

maybe if ya left out the rubber bushings, and tightened down the bolts, it wouldn't shake??
