Drove for an hour today for a auction that had a gravity box with AC running gear. Waited in line a half hour for a bidding #. Turns out no gear or gravity box. They sold it before the auction. That pissed me off. Did this ever happen to anyone else before? I was only a hour away some drive alot farther.

That really makes an auctioner unhappy, after pictures are posted and all. Well maybe you will get a better one yet.

I think that Rich was saying that the auctioneer would be upset about the item being sold before it was run thru the auction after the auctioneer had listed it & posted pictures of it.

With diesel fuel at $4/gallon, I try to check the auctioneer's website the night before to see if any last minute changes or cancellations are made.  Some auctioneers are better than others at updating their website.  I've also called an auctioneer to verify items of interest before driving a long distance and ringing up a big fuel bill.

Here are a couple pics of one I saw at an auction a few weeks ago.

It sold for 450 , I would have bid if I did not have to drag it 70 miles home. Yes it sucks when you go that far to an auction and the item you are looking for is gone .

Pat - I would have been thrilled to drag that wagon home only 70 miles for $450!  Mike

I went to an auction today that listed two rotobalers, only 25 miles away but non the less when I arrived there were no  AC balers.  Wasn't too happy but still spent a bunch including getting a good deal on a Hesston 4600 baler and what might be an AC running gear under a G wagon, bought the wagon for a friend, got to thinking about the running gear after I left, will look tomorrow.  If so, the only AC machine at the sale.  One of the clerks jokingly told me they listed the AC balers to get me to come - I doubt that! lol
