Hopefully bringing home a AC B model within the next week but I wanted to get a head start of researching my options for adding a set of cultivators to this AC. Currently it has a woods belly mower and I am not sure what (if any) parts are present that are needed to install a set of cultivators. This will be my first AC and also my first tractor older than 1978, so I have zero experience with and AC like this one (believed to be a 1954 B). Should I post a wanted here or be patient and wait for a set of cultivators to be listed for sale on some of the many advertising websites? Thanks for the help, I look forward to learning about B model ACs from this forum. Josh Edited by case580 - 09 Dec 2009 at 12:31pm |

The B uses the 60 series cultivator.
There are a variety of configurations, with the major distinctions called out by model (61, 62, ...., 66). Most of them (one exception) use a common frame, with the ground engaging equipment being the variation. Each cultivator was geared toward certain crops, so perhaps you want to try to narrow down your search to a specific configuration first.

thanks, I will do some reading and learn about the different types/series of cultivators. Currently, I don't have a specific use in mind (type of crop) but I will research what the different types offer and come back with a more specific request. Thanks |
