Now a buddy of mine told me theres a couple of different types....one with the standard moldboard and share and another with a 3piece moldboard, share, and shin, and he said that one is better because the shares are easier to get....am i on the right track and is there a model i should be looking for to get this? sorry but i am really green to SC

I will take a shot at this. There are 4 model series of snap coupler plows, 50, 60, 70, and 80. According to how many bottoms you have completes the model number. For example One bottom 50 series would be a Model 51, Two bottom 80 series would be a Model 82, Three bottom 70 series would be a Model 73 etc. The bottoms are just as you mentioned 2 or 3 pieces, the 2 piece are older and harder to find parts for typically. And then there are numerous combinations of different frogs, moldboards, shins, shares, and landslides for different soils. Okay guys tell me what I have wrong?
