I see an article in Farmworld where Agco is sponsoring a local massey pro stock tractor.  The guys are the  Batliners from Floyb Knobs IN. Tey used to run  the perkins V8 and did ok but weren super competive but were imrpoving. I guess agco is setting them up with a SISU engine now, and giving them dyno time etc.   Kinda makes me wanna puke some more, what about all the guys that were running AC"S with agco sheet metal on them a few years back dont think they ever did a thing for them.

I hear a radio add for a somewhat local AGCO dealer that sold Kubota, Fendt and AGCO and now is MF instead of AGCO.   Whenever I hear the Fendt add coming on I think Oh yeah you couldn't support SO MANY brands.  Oh well, it's their choice.

"Agco" has provided some odds and ends and old engines from time to time but on no corporate level.  I would have trouble  believing 'agco' sponsored anyone.  Sisu used to sponsor european prostocks and have some really great hot rodders in the engine department.  Don't think agco owns any dyno's capable of holding a hot engine.  Some local dealer maybe ? - Would be interesting to find the details though.   AC did provide some dyno time back in the early 70's but due to infighting and threats, dropped it like a hot potato.  In fact many reps  were told "not to touch one".   When Agco took over the Sisu plant the tractor pulling sponsorship stopped......

Sponsoring an engine or tractor usually poses some real liability issues.  If you build and win the competition hates you - they don't stop running what they are building and farming with and run to sing your praises.  IF you sponsor and can't win then even your loyal customers doubt if they are running the best.   Donald Kolb of the old Kolb diesel service ( a Louisville winner 220 AC) found that out. If you beat your customers they think u are not giving them the best and if your pumps don't win they go elsewhere.
Agco could best serv the industry by providing a service much like HYPERMAX.  Jerry was sent out by IH with a dyno and blessings and was told to make the IH's run - the rest is history.   No telling what he could do with a Sisu engine - they are strong, super engines.

The Batliner's tractor is called "Super Hick" and it is a super farm tractor not a prostock. They have the Sisu running pretty good.
