I sold the last of my orchard/brome grass hay for $5. a bale and the 3d cutting alfalfa for $6. Sold the last in Oct. Almost wish I had been greedy but it's not my way to drive people to get rid of their animals because they can't afford hay. Tonight I heard nice alfalfa is $10 per 60 lb bale. Lots of Colorado hay went to Texas and Ok this last fall.

I have sold some fair quality bermuda hay and very good quality prairie hay for $100/ bale.
The bermuda weighed 1500 each and the prairie hay weighed 1690 each. The hay was baled with a Vermeer 605K baler. Still have around 50 bales left. Wish I had more to sell because I have had to turn quite a few people away.

I sold out all 6500 small square 42 pound kickers this fall very quickly. Timothy and other mixed grasses $3.25 a bale at the barn. Second was $4.25. I am sure had I held on till this winter I could have gotten .50 more but my equipment under cover is worth that to me. Not a bale had been rained on.

Coastal squares are bringing 11.50 to 12.00 a bale due to drought. Big rounds from 85.00 to 120.00. It's really bad but we've had good rain so far this year.
