Topic: D19 Serial Number.........Posted: 14 Dec 2011 at 11:28pm |

Picked up a D19 at auction the other day................
Can't find a Serial Number so I can figure out which year it is. I know it is supposed to be on the front of the torque housing, but I can't see anything there even after taking a wire brush to the flat spot. Is there any other place to look?

Like said above the 19 serial # is on the top flat spot of the rear housing just behind the seat mounting frame. Should be stamped in starting with D19 XXXX and if it is a diesel should be followed with a D. If it is an early 19 and has an aftermarket/homemade center link bracket it maybe covered by said bracket.

Ok, I found the number behid the seat, it is D19 2270.
According to the Hotline book and the S/N Reference on this site, it should start with a 1 shouldn't it?
So if 2270 is the number, what year is this tractor?
