A pretty decent 1955 WD45 brought $1500 and a very nice 1950 WD brought $2000. What amazed me about the WD is that the guy that fixed it up did a very nice job and then left a rats nest of a wiring harness on it! For $65 he could have changed out the wiring harness and completed the job.
The Sale was in Taylorville, IL. Aumann Auctions Annual Thanksgiving auction. There were some pretty good buys, but good and desireable tractors are still selling for good money. A MF 98 sold for $23,000! It was a beauty and one I would have loved to had in my stable. The A was in pretty decent condition with electric start. It had been given a DuPont overhaul at some point but the underside of the fenders still had the original paint.

A nicely restored 440 Oliver recently sold for $9750 at a local auction. They are cute little tractors.

I went to a sale near Mead, Colorado yesterday. A clean C with a single front wheel sold for 650 or 675. I had it for a few seconds at $300 but already have 2 C's so just bid to help them out. A real nice narrow front Oliver brought $1,600. A MM RTU parts tractor brought about $400. The other tractors were 20 series JD's with high hours but in good shape, sold in the $7,000 to $9,000 area. I bought a 1000 gallon honey wagon for $275. Not many auctions in this area this fall, prices seemed pretty high for old but well maintained machinery.
