I do not hqave a hold position valve, but maybe you know more aboput threm thah I do.
I've been through the adjustment procedure described in the Manual. After I move the lift where I want, it drifts up or down unless I slightly adjust the control lever up or down a few times. Any idea why it will not hold when I return the control lever to "detent" position? "Detent" is working; I can hear it pop into place with the engine off, but it's kind of a joke; engine nosie precludes hearing it and control lever friction is much greater than detent holding force, so you'll never feel it.
There's considerable slack bewtween the long an short control rods and holes thru the Lever portion of the "Shaft and Lever" piece on the Hydraulic Control. Is it necessarfy for there to be very liottle slack there?
There seems to bee excessive slack between the Shaft portion of the "Shaft andd Lever" piece and internal parts of the Hydraulic Pump Control. Any idea of how much slack is tolerable there?
