I will have my 1953WD45 mounted shortly with a fully hydraulic AC 445 loader shortly and will post a pic. The front pump and the drive pulley is all mounted all I need to do is get some new hoses and mount the frame and boom/bucket and valves.

Got any pics of how you mounted your pump Michael? I would be interested in what pump you used also.

The pump mounts from underneath in front of the crank pulley. The crank pulley has to be taken off and a special drive disc is welded inside the center, in my case the tractor has factory power steering but the disc will fit in there, and so you have live hydraulics on the pump. The pump setup and loader is a factory setup, the loader is a model 445 and it us shown in the 400 series loader book. The 445 frame will only fit a WD or WD45. I saw a nos pump and bracket sell on eBay several years ago and you can still get the drive disc and pilot from agco so if can find a pump and bracket you can rig a fully hydraulic loader for a WD or WD45. The 445 has a special valve assembly that places the levers just to the left of the steering wheel.

Hear are some pictures from the AC 400 series loader manual. I will take some pictures of the tractor once I have the loader mounted. I can tell you it the pump barely fits and the book even says the early steering bolsters can't be used with the pump setup.
This is a picture of the tractor and front grill I got from a guy on this site, can't recall his name, that the loader is going on.
Here is a picture of a 519 AC loader on my D19 and the 445 loader is basically the same except it has a reservoir in the left hand mount and used the special front pump and valve assembly for a 45. Edited by Michael Crowe - 06 Nov 2011 at 9:22am |

John, yes Ron is the guy, can't recall his last name though. And if anyone is thinking of buying one, they are very well made and very heavy duty. Every piece is welded the entire length of the metal intersection, not just a tack. They look great and are a perfect fit.

I was looking at the Agco site and found the pump and drive for the 400-500 series loaders. What I saw was a sprocket drive with a double row chain connector, which is fine too, but I couldn't find the disc anywhere.
Probably just me.

Here are the pictures of my WD45 with the pump, loader frame and valve controls mounted. All I have left to do is put new hoses on and mount the loader arm and bucket.

We had a Stanhoist loader on our '53 WD. I seldom hear of a Stanhoist.

Dakota Dave, is that cab made out of an old 3 sided barge box? Pretty clever. Spent more than a few hours standing in one of those shoveling oats into a McCormick endgate seeder.AaronSEIA

No tThe Cab is factory built by Automatic Manufacturing Company. in Pender Nebraska. was made during the 50's and universial fit for most tractors.
