Today I was browsing some back issues of Old Allis News that I have. In the Fall of 2000 issue on page 7 in the upper right hand corner is a black & white picture of the rear of an unstyled WC tractor. There is a hand lever that is sticking up behind the back of the oval gas tank. It's not the brake lever as that can be seen to the left of the unknown lever. Does anyone know what that lever is for? It has a bend or curve in it and is almost as tall as the top of the gas tank. Secondly on page 17 at the top is a color photo of a French built Allis-Chalmers G.R. tractor. It looks like a G but has a Peugeot engine that looks a lot longer than the continental and also some different sheetmetal below the steering wheel. Anyone know anything about this tractor? Sorry I don't have a scanner to post the two pictures I'm asking about. Maybe someone also has these magazine and a scanner and can post the pictures. Thanks, Lloyd

Thanks for the pictures. I got the magazine in 2000 but must have passed right over it at that time without noticing. How long was Allis in business with French or English companies?
