We just finished tonight. My brother drove the combine tonight and finished the corn. You have to understand that the last friday in aug. a hay grapple he ordered from a local equip. dealer fell on him while they were loading it. It should have crushed him and it did destroy two of his vertebrates in his back. He has rods in his back now. He has been working really hard with his therapy and is walking with a walker. Tonight he climbed in a 2366 Case combine ON HIS OWN!!! We have a large family and many of them were there to share this moment. There was a semi load of pride and almost as many tears. We have some great pictures, but I can't seem to get them on here. Maybe i could e-mail them to somebody who can do it. Thanks to all and God Bless. Nick

Sometimes getting back in the seat and doing things is the best therapy of all.

That is awesome. Having gone through back surgery in June 2006, I have rods in my back also, so I understand just how much it meant to him. My doctor wouldn't allow me to do anything for six months, but I was completely healed and released for full duty at that time. He even cringed when I asked and got his permission to make the GOTO in Booneville in September. He stopped short of recomending it, but didn't say NO. I am jealous though as I don't see a turtle shell on him. That was my daily attire for 4 full months. Thanks for posting. God Bless.

Looking good. Wishing him a full and speedy recovery. Appears to be well on his way. Eldon, thanks for doing the pictures - really completes the story.

Eldon, thanks a million for posting the pictures for me. I just now got to see the post today. Hauled some corn to market we had contracted and we ran some beans for our neighbor. May get him done tommorow. His dad is battling lung cancer. Been a rough year in our area. Some of you may remember my wife and I lost our oldest son this past Jan. in a car wreck. Has been a tough fall. Thanks again Eldon, I wish I could shake your hand. P.S. I'm the one in the cap. Nicky

OK, I'm not jealous anymore. Give him my best. Also, the one thing my doctor told me, though different circumstances, was to walk. He did suggest that I limit it to no more than 4 miles a day. It worked for me as he said when I inquired, "What do you think I could do with rehab that your not already doing?"God Blessed me in so many ways, but the healing of my back was truly a miracle. God Bless
