Depending on the age of the machines Small to Medium size farms buy them. Typically they are 600 to 1000 Acre Farms. But if the machines are older machines some of them do get parted out.

As you drive around the country you see a lot of old units sitting in the tree line or atthe edge of farmyard. Large combine salvage in Iowa Falls , as well as back rows at dealerships. Wonder why when scrap was high they did not go but as lot of sheetmetal the scrap price isnt that high for the bulk.

I was down in Sikeston on the 1st of this month and I was all over the place down there... Every scrap yard and the monthly auction there was like a total of 15 AC Combines all together for scrap.... Rest was all the newer ones..... I know out at Northside we have about 20-25 older AC from the As on up that we have for scrap and parts........
