Does anyone know if there is something you can pour into a fuel tank to seal it up? I have friend that has tank but it's full of rust inside. Is there some kind of liquid liner that can be poured into the tank to line it? Or is there something we can do to remove the rust from the inside of the tank? Any ideas you have would be great!!

I have had a couple done and basicly what they do is use some kind of acid to remove the rust and as soon as the tank dries inside they put some kind od epoxy liner in and then let it cure 48 hours before using. Both tanks are great now, and were very rusty inside before...

Muratic acid from a swimming pool place, some Walmarts, Lowes, Menards, etc. takes out the rust, should neutralize with baking soda.Rinse out well, dry well, then use Red Kote, let it dry well according to directions and you're good to go.

I've sold Kreem for over 25 years. If it's done right, it's a great product. If it's done wrong, it will cause more problems. You should be able to find it at any motorcycle dealer or repair shop. Complete kit costs about $30. |

We just rebuilt a 37 Minnie that we retrieved from Oklahoma that sat outside for the better part of the last half century, the fuel tank had some pin holes, we took it to our radiator guy, put in a coating , sealer, no problems what so ever. It is easier to fix properly than you think.

I used Red Kote on my CA. There were a couple of holes too large to seal so applied JB weld in them before using the Red Kote.

I've used Northern Tank Liner many times with excellent results. Got it at an MPE store.
