Having trouble with our 200 cab blower motors.  About 70% of the time when you flip the switch to turn them on nothing happens.  If you pound your fist on the bottom of the housing that holds them they will come on.  The other 30% of the time they work fine.  They are very hard to get to, as there is a small inspection plate that has to be removed, however, this does not allow complete access to the blowers.  It pretty much is only enough room to spray some electrical contact cleaner on them and hope for the best (hasn't helped too much).  It is almost like there is a flat spot on the shafts that when they stop on that spot they will not restart again without a little help.  Do we really have to take the roof off to get to these, or can the by accessed some other way?

Cab is the factory Allis-Chalmers with factory dysor air conidtioning and blower unit.  Thanks for any info in advance

There are two cabs used on the 200. The ac is differant between the two.
I assume you are talking about the evaporator blowers insidre the cab and not the condensor blowers.
Check for a bad ground. Otherwise the motors may be weak.

You have to remove the roof on most of them to get to the blower motor. If the ground is good you should just figure on replaceing the motor. I have not had any luck with repairing these small motors.

The universal answer to all questions is yes, how much do you want to spend?

On my 200, the ac is a Kysor unit. The evaporator blowers can be removed by remowing the inside cover.
