    Posted: 28 May 2011 at 2:17pm
As you may know, 3000toys.com is the business that really pays our bills here.  Our main warehouse, offices, and home are about 4 miles south of the city of Joplin and the tornado path.  We did however have a leased warehouse space in Joplin that took a direct hit and was totally destroyed.  We have been able to recover a small number of toys that are OK but have damaged packaging.  These are being sold on 3000toys.com as a fund-raiser for Joplin relief agencies.  The ENTIRE PURCHASE PRICE will be donated to a local relief agency on the ground in Joplin.  There is one Allis-Chalmers item in the list but I have less than 10 of them.

If you are able to, I would appreciate your support of this effort.

Thank You,
Darin Stratton

If your not interested in having a toy for your self. You can buy one and Darin and let give it to the kids that lost theirs to the tornado.

Darin: Is there a particular group that one could send donations to? I have bought a number of toys from you and would simply like to make a donation.

Thank You.

Ages Cat, see my post above. Buy a a toy or two, tell them to give the toy to a kid that lost theirs. That way some kids will get some toys and the money will go to the tornado relief fund.

There are literally hundreds on the ground right now.  I'm just not sure which ones are setup to take donations online.  Our church has turned into a distribution center for food and supplies http://www.chcchurch.org , they have a separate fund for relief and 99% will go into supplies, materials, and direct help for those needing it.   The "bridge" is a Christian youth center that is working 24/7 for relief now  http://thebridgejoplin.com/    I know there are tons others as well as the big ones like Red Cross.

Darin, I notice in the pictures a few red tractors or crawlers with some damage.  Perhaps you should add those to the sale.  Just post pictures of them with a number on each one.  The highest bid in a week or so gets it.  I'm sure you have more then a few things to do at this time but maybe later in the summer this could happen.  It seems a shame that they can't bring some help and not go to the landfill.
