Does anyone know where I can find a 12V switch that will shut off the gas to the carb on my CA? I'm tired of having to shut it off at the settling bowl and if I don't a lot of time it will start leaking gas. If I had a switch that would shut the fuel off when I turn off the ignition it would sure be nice. Thanks, nat

Check with Grainger or a similar industrial supply house. You will need a normally closed solenoid valve rated for 12 volts and petroleum products. Personally I would keep using the manual valve - safer and a lot more reliable.

Wouldn't it be cheaper and simpler to just put a new settling bowl on and have a new valve ? Also, have you tried tightning the packing nut on the one you have ???

Maybe send your carb to Steve so it can be rebuilt right? They look and perform like new when he's done with them...

My 17.5 hp riding mower has one on the bottom of the float bowl. Don't know how they are designed but this one failed in the open position. The result-the cylinder filled with gas and hydro locked and bent a rod on startup.

They seem to work fine. Pipe thread in each side.

Check with a LP gas business. They have them at a real good price. MACK
