I have a A-C model B. The starter switch is located on the "bottom of the starter so you can press your foot on the cable and start it from the seat. I recently had the starter serviced and the switch is now located on the "top". I can start it by standing be side it, but want it back the original way. How difficult is it to get the switch back on the bottom of the starter? Any directions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much!

Take out the two long bolts and rotate the noxe cone 180 degrees. you will need to take the starter off to do it. If you pull the end cap off or pull the nose cone to far you'll need to put the brushes back.

Normally there is only one hole for the starter head to locate in. If you do not have two locater holes they switched parts when they rebuilt the started. If by chance you are not up to drillinf the hole you would to take the started back to where it was rebuilt. They made the mistake. You might want to take it back so they can see that they did make a mistake.

You may have received a CA starter, if it was an exchange

Hmmm... Isn't the B's starter switch supposed to be on top, and PUSHED on by the loop-end pushrod?

When the switch is on top it has to be pulled like the CA's and late B's. To have the pull rod up by the throttle lever you would have to have a stamped gas tank for the proper clearance.
