Waiting to be hooked to the sprayer. It has a cab now but before my dad bought it from the dealer it was cab-less. The guy that owned it before us was claustrophic and couldent be in a cab, but when the dealer had it they put this cab on it and we have had it ever sense. "It dose need alittle paint"

Ever consider putting it back to cabless? I used to think cabless looked ugly but they have grown on me. Looking at that cab just shows how much bigger the factory cab really is. It's an illusion that the fatory cab is too small. They are no smaller than a John Deere Sound Guard. Same square feet of glass (41 sq feet) even though the John Deere front window is curved and I can have one of my kids ride with me to the left rear behind the seat. Good place to fall asleep using their jacket for a pillow. Where would they sit in the John Deere?

There is no steps on the one side because they were 3 steps on that side and they were low to the ground and got knocked off, but we still have the steps and might put them back on. The belly is the right color the odd brown color.
If we could find the correct fenders for a desent price we would probly put back to cabless because all we do with it is spray and run auger and that cab is like a sweat box.

I have learned to accept the maroon belly look but I can't figure out why Allis ever went to that color in the first place. Just a simple change from the maroon to black they went from the ugliest tractor Allis ever put out to one of the prettiest of all brands at that time.[/QUOTE]
I have to agree on the maroon. BUT, it was the 70's and is anyone proud of the suits they were wearing then?! I'm sure we all have some photos we prefer to have destroyed! LOL. I've always wondered what a 70 series would look like if the entire body and grill was orange like a XT. Or maybe a white grill or some black accent like the 200 cowl.

One other thing, with that cab arrangement you could put 50'' tires on there and not have any clearance issues.

On a second thought if we leave the cab on its a one of a kind and those are the kinds I like! Because when I go to a show I go look at the odd balls first because they are the cool ones!
