I am going to put a set of 34s off a 6080 0n the D17. Has anyone done this before. It will used mainly for pulling in the 5500lb class. With the cast centres of the 6080 wheels it will mean less suitcase weights. I had the cast centers machined to fit the D17 hubs. The 6080 had a 5/8 stud and nut system, and the D17 has 9/16 bolts. I dont want to ruin the D17 hubs, and am trying to figure the best way to attach them. I was thinking of grade 8 studs and machineing the end to 9/16 to screw into the hub. Will that take away to much strength from the stud.

How long will the bolts be? Also curious to see a pic of the machine job for I think I could get a real good set for mine as well.
