I will be in Milwaukee the week of he 8th, where do I would I go to see what's left of the Allis-Chalmers plant. Any other recommendations of things to see while I'm there?

The remainder of the plant is on 70th & Greenfield, just South of I-94. As for other things to do, It really depends what you all like. Miller has a nice brewery tour, the lakefront & Downtown area is nice, the museums are cool, the Pabst Mansion, etc. Try this link: http://www.visitmilwaukee.org/
